Behavioural Consults and Behavioural Modification Packages
Each Behavioural Consult and Behavioural Modification Package is tailored to meet the needs of each owner / family and their canine companion. I will work with you to ensure all of your concerns are addressed and help you understand the process involved so you and your dog get the most out of my visits. We will work together to come up with a manageable plan that will help guide you through this process.
My visits are judgement free, I come armed with empathy and compassion to help you and your dog work through any training and behavioural issues you may be having. Behavioural issues can be tough on both our dogs and on us. It’s often an emotional roller coaster and mixed emotions are very common when dealing with certain behavioural issues. I am here to help and have had my own dogs with behavioural issues and can relate to what you are going through.

Behavioural Consult

A behavioural consult is a great way to to gain knowledge and information about your dogs behaviour. I will come and assess your dog, address any problem behaviours, suggest management, training and behavioural modification options. After the consult you will receive a report outlining the things we talk about, including management strategies, training information, behavioural modification information etc.
What’s included:
1 x 1.5hr x 2hr consult
An emailed report including, management strategies, training information, behavioural modification information and any relevant handouts.

One off follow up Behavioural Consult

A follow up behavioural consult is a great way to assess your progress and look further into moving forward with training and behaviour modification with your dog.
What’s included:
1 x 1hr - 1.5hr consult

Behavioural Modification Package
$400
A behavioural modification package is a great way to work through complex behavioural issues such as reactivity, barking, resource guarding and separation anxiety. This package is tailored to the individual needs of your dog and the sessions are scheduled in as needed. This package is a good way to address reactivity, barking, resource guarding, separation anxiety and lots more. You will receive a full report after the first session outlining the plan for the remaining sessions. Phone and email support is provided to ensure you are progressing well and to provide you with additional support needed to be successful when dealing with more complex behavioural issues.
What’s included:
1 x 1hr - 1.5hrs consult
2 x 45min - 1hr consult
A detailed report including things such as: management strategies, ways to limit stress, enrichment info, a training and/or behaviour modification plan and any relevant handouts
Fortnightly phone calls
Puppy Classes and Puppy Package
Who doesn’t love a puppy? They’re adorable right? While they may be adorable and extremely loveable they are also a lot of work. Most people don’t realise this until they bring their little fury bundle of joy home. They bite, destroy things, toilet in places they shouldn’t, they bark, dig and seem like they aren’t listening to us when we really need them to. While most of these things seem annoying to us a lot of this is very normal puppy behaviour and I’m here to help you understand your puppy a little better.
The Puppy Classes and Private packages will:
Give you a good understanding of dog behaviour
Help you to teach and guide your puppy using positive reinforcement
Provide you with management strategies to limit and prevent the unwanted behaviours
Teach you how to communicate with your puppy
Guide you in socialising and exposing your puppy to our crazy human world
Help you learn about enrichment and how this can be a useful tool in mentally stimulating our pups and preventing some of the unwanted behaviours

The Private Puppy package covers everything we would cover in puppy class and is tailored to each family to ensure we are focusing on everything that is important to you. I will discuss your needs during the first sessions and tailor the package to ensure I am meeting your needs.
Private Puppy Package
$330
Suitable for puppies 8 weeks - 12 months old
3 x 1hr sessions
The private puppy package is a great way to learn more about your puppy in the comfort of you own home. These sessions are tailored to each individual family to ensure we are covering the things that are important to you.
During these sessions you will learn how to teach your puppies how to respond to your cues (sit, down, stay etc), learn how to manage puppy behaviours such as mouthing, nipping, jumping, barking, digging etc. During the final session we will also start to work on lose leash walking and recall. We will cover lots of relevant educational topics such as: how dogs learn, positive reinforcement training, how to use reinforcements, setting your puppies up to have the best life possible.
The Private Puppy package covers everything we would cover in puppy class and is tailored to each family to ensure we are focusing on everything that is important to you. I will discuss your needs during the first sessions and tailor the package to ensure I am meeting your needs.

Baby Puppy Classes
$150
Suitable for puppies 8 - 14 weeks old
4 x 1hr sessions
Baby puppy classes are held at Dr Paws Kotara. During these classes you will learn how to teach your puppies how to respond to your cues (sit, down, stay etc), learn how to manage puppy behaviours such as mouthing, nipping, jumping, barking, digging etc. We will cover lots of relevant educational topics such as: how dogs learn, positive reinforcement training, how to use reinforcements, setting your puppies up to have the best life possible.
These classes are designed to give owners the knowledge and techniques to help build a strong relationship with their puppies.
Basic Training Package

Suitable for dogs 1yr and older
3 x 1hr sessions
The basic training package is a great way to brush up on your training with your dog. This package will be tailored to the individual needs of you and your dog. If you’re struggling with the basics I can help you get back on track. Life gets busy and we often find it hard to fit training into our busy lives. I will help you get back on track while creating a manageable schedule for you and your dog to follow. Training shouldn’t be hard, it should be fun and I can help you get back to the fun part.
This is a great package for newly adopted rescue dogs.
Loose Leash Walking Package
$330
3 X 1hr sessions
This loose leash walking package is designed to help you and your dog stay connected on your walks and to prevent them from pulling on the leash. The environment outside of your house if very exciting for you dog and some find it hard to stay focused on their owners and often like to pull on the leash. I will help you connect with your dog, making you the most exciting thing in the environment. We will work on leash skills and encourage your dog to stay nice and close to prevent them from pulling.
Please note: This package is not suitable for dogs that are reactive to other dogs or people when out and about. If you have a reactive dog, I would suggest a behavioural consult or behavioural modification package. Please feel free to get in touch to discuss the best option for you and your dog.
Recall Package
$330
3 x 1hr sessions
Recall is one of the most important behaviours we can teach our dogs. Having a reliable recall means you can give your dog some more freedom when outside of the house and it can be a life saver if they accidentally get away from you. The recall package is designed to help build a strong and reliable recall with your dog. We will work on building the behaviour so your dog is able to respond to you when their are distractions around and also work on strengthening the bond between you and your dog when out and about.
